The 27th and 28th June 2017 saw the introduction of a new event on the Orthopaedic calendar. The inaugural ROCKSTAR Kongress, an event hosted by Joint Operations and aimed at Orthopaedic consultants with an interest in Regenerative Medicine and the treatment of cartilage degeneration.
The two day event was held at the prestigious Kings Fund in London’s Cavendish Square, with day one concentrating on the science, regulatory position and surgical outcomes of fragmented adipose tissue transfer techniques. After an enjoyable cocktail reception and course dinner delegates returned on day two, ready to cover a broad base of cartilage repair options, from localised defects through to treatment of the post-biologic degenerative knee.
UK Orthopaedic Surgeons Adrian Wilson and Peter Thompson chaired the ROCKSTAR Kongress, and an impressive UK and International faculty including Professor Arnold Caplan ‘father of the MSC’ and Professor Carlo Tremolada, designer of the Lipogems system ensured that the event was highly educational and engaging throughout.
6 CPD credits were awarded to the event and the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. One delegate commented “to see such a broad range of topics, from the new and innovative Lipogems system to the more main stream AMIC and Hemicap procedures covered in one event led to interesting debate and a valuable learning experience.” Another added “The faculty at ROCKSTAR were the main attraction. They were professional yet accessible and I applaud Joint Operations for gathering them together and for their dedication to education as well as sales.”
As part of the event, Joint Operations were proud to introduce the ROCKSTAR Kit. This kit is designed to be your one stop cartilage regeneration kit and includes products to assist with both Chondral and Osteochondral defects.
